New Forest National Park Volunteer Fair

at Lyndhurst Community Centre

and NFDIS was there

vol fair   Independence Matters

We were delighted to talk to so many interesting people and over 600 attended the event!

Above photos show Outreach Co-ordinator Geraldine with our stand at the event.

We spoke to prospective volunteers about our role in the community and

introduced many to the Independence Matters Project that we are promoting

in partnership with New Forest District Council. Discussing how sometimes simple

adaptations or equipment can make the difference to people being independent

and staying in ther own homes after illness, accident or age related issues might in

the past have meant they needed to move.

Contact us if you would like information about this or any issue related to

living independently with a health issue or disability.
